HSV Hamburg is a handball club from Germany, located in Hamburg. Currently, HSV Hamburg competes in the Bundesliga First Division. The full name in German is ''Handball Sport Verein Hamburg e.V.'' but the club is usually called ''HSV Handball'', ''HSV Hamburg'' or just ''HSV''. HSV Hamburg is the former handball category of VfL Bad Schwartau and the HSV Lübeck, connected in 1999. In 2002 they were relocated to Hamburg in order to grow and renamed. May 2004 ''German''〕 With the investment of the new president Andreas Rudolph in 2005, the club was able to focus again on the gaming operation.
